Dedicates 10th Anniversary Issue
to Local Business and Non-Profits
The Valley Book will celebrate its 10th anniversary year with two special features dedicated to the independent local businesses and non-profit organizations that make the Farmington Valley a special place to live and to visit.
• A front-of-the book special section dedicated to local non-profits that make outstanding contributions to the quality of life in the Farmington Valley. Organizations will be selected in "Valley-wide" and "individual town" categories through online balloting at www.thevalleybook.com. Nominations will be posted as of September 1, 2008 and final selections made on December 15, 2008.
• A two-page spread that features the full-page color portraits of all the well-known local business people published in The Valley Book since its debut in 2000. Over the past decade, Simsbury photographer Hunter Neal has assembled a truly outstanding collection that literally gives Valley businesses a personal face.
Both features will open up with high visibility sponsorship positions for businesses interested in benefiting from the additional interest generated by The Valley Book's 10th anniversary and in showing support for the important quality of life organizations and for our unique independent business community.
Both front-of book special features will be published online for the entire year with participating advertisers and web links included.
Representatives from all the quality of life non-profits, all the portrait subjects as well as all advertisers will be guests of The Valley Book at its 10th Anniversary Gala at The Simsbury Inn on
February 26, 2009.
In addition, to kick off its 10th anniversary, The Valley Book has opened an online store that features beautiful high quality products such as hats, tees, polos and sweats embroidered with The Valley Book logo and its "Trusted. Loved. Local." motto. Net proceeds will be donated to local causes.
